Flippin' Fantastic

It's Pancake Day! But's let's be honest, after a hard days work who has really got the time to be beating up batter and trying (in vain) to master the art of flipping. We've rounded up the best places around town to get some pancakes and avoid the mess.

La Creperie De Hampstead
Hampstead Village

This is by far the best place to go for a pancake - or crepe, as the French owners of this stall like to call them.Yes you have to sit outside; yes you'll be lucky to queue for less than 10minutes. But believe us when we say - they are seriously worth it.

Crepe Affaire
Kings Cross, Wardour Street, Spitalfields, Westfield Stratfordand Westfield London
A close second to the Hampstead fave, and as they're a chain you'll probably never be too far away from one. Crepe Affaire also do a wider range of flavours for those who want to deviate from the classic lemon sugar.

Breakfast Club
Spitalfields and Old Street

If you're not atraditionalist and American style pancakes are more your thing, head over to this all day dinner for a stack of fluffy ones with maple syrup, of course! The Breakfast Club are also running a charity event called the pancake challenge. Eat 12 pancakes in 20 mins and your meal is free, if not you pay £15 - all of which goes to Ray Of Sunshine Charity. Now there's a good reason for stuffing your face
