Waiting For Godot has been described as the most significant English Language play of the 20th. Written by Irish born play-write Samuel Beckett in 1949 it tells the story of two homeless men on the streets, waiting in vain for someone called Godot to arrive.
As the plays two main characters wait for a man the don't really know, they pass the time by sleeping, eating and conversing. Through this the play gently looks at and questions exactly what it means to be human.
This spring see the Talawa Theatre Company stage what is believed to be the first all black production of Godot.
We at the Inn will definitely be checking this one out and doing a full review next month
